I am a principal in a senior secondary school and, therefore, my profession depends on my eyes. I developed cataract in my right eye. My son and daughter, who are both doctors themselves, took me to Dr. Sanjay Dhawan for cataract surgery. He operated on my eye for cataract and implanted an intraocular lens. I was so happy and satisfied with the results and the care taken that I went to him for my second eye surgery also. Now both my eyes are in perfect condition and I am able to carry on with my profession very comfortably.

I express my gratitude to Dr. Dhawan and wish him the best in all his endeavors.

Dr. Sanjay Dhawan performed Phacoemulsification with Foldable Lens implantation on my eye. The procedure was absoulutely painless and I receovered extremely good vision the very next day after the surgery. I always had a very high minus number in my right eye only. I had been using contact lens as the doctors told me. I could not see anything without the contact lens. Often I would get infection and allergy in my eyes. my job was suffering and I was getting sick of it all. But then Dr. Sanjay Dhawan performed Lasik on my eye, and I was amazed to see the result. Immediately after the operation I began to see a lot better and a day later my vision became so clear that I could read the entire vision chart in no time.

It changed my life and so I decided to get Lasik done for my sister also. Now she is happily married.

I am a staff nurse in a government hospital of Delhi. I had squint in my eyes for which every body used to tease me or taunt me. My relatives would tell my parents that it would be difficult to find a good match for me. One day during my nursing school days Dr. Dhawan was taking our class on ophthalmology. After the class I asked him if my squint could be corrected and he said yes. He operated on my eye and my eyes became perfectly normal. My husband was born deaf & mute and soon developed problem in retina & nerve of the eye - Retinitis Pigmentosa & Optic Atrophy. Later he was operated on for cataract and was alright for sometime. But soon againg his vision fell down and he became quite handicapped. He would hold our hand to walk about outdoors and would not venture out of the house after evening. We ran from pillar to post seeking treatment but were turned away by even some of the well established eye specialists in Delhi saying that nothing could be done.

With very little hope we visited Dr. Sanjay Dhawan, who had operated on one of our family members earlier. He spent good time examining my husband & undertanding his problem (I was amazed how this doctor tried to communicated in my husband's sign language). He suggested that he could try a simple procedure and that there was some hope. We agreed to have it done on the worse eye first. YAG Laser Treatment was done first on the worse eye and two weeks later on the slightly better eye.

We were amazed to see the results. My husband can now see very well. He moves about absolutely independently even at night time and wants to resume driving. Our lives have changed. I had lost all hope and was worried about the future of my teenage daughter and our family. For us it's  kind of a medical miracle. I have no words to than our eye doctor.

I belong to Afghanistan where live has been exceedingly tough for last few decades. Added to this was my handicap due to poor vision - my eye power was -20 in one eye and -22 in the other. Even with thick glasses I had dificulty seeing things. I was always ridiculed by my folks. I somehow manage to learn some typing & computers and found a job in UN office. My seniors in the UN adviced me to visit New Delhi, India for treatment and even arranged funds for me.

In Delhi I met Dr. Sanjay Dhavan who examined my eyes and told me that I would need 2 operations for my eyes. First I was sent to Dr. Rohan for Laser for Retina and two weeks later Dr. Dhavan operated first on one eye and another few weeks later on my second eye. A lens implant surgery was done. Getting up from  the operation bed was an enthralling exerience - I could now see the time on the clock hung on the wall. I could now seewithout ugly thick glasses - and now I saw much better than I ever did earlier with glasses.

I am now back to Afghanistan & working, I have joined a computer course. My life has changed, my working ability has changed. And after 6 months of returning I have been promoted & my salary increased. Now my parents want me to get married. Thank you India, thank you Dr. Sanjay.
